In Memory of Robin Kaplan

Robin Kaplan touched the lives of so many people that were fortunate to know her. She was always smiling and always willing to lend a hand.  She had signature phrases that she would often use with her contagious laughter. We remember how she enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins, listening to Eric Clapton, and relaxing at the beach. She was pursuing an interest in photography, redecorating her condo and most importantly - spending time with family and friends.  She truly cared about other people and would take the time to listen and be involved in their lives.

Unfortunately, Robin dealt with the affects of Crohn's Disease for most of her life, but she handled it with strength and grace.  After facing her biggest medical challenge in January of 2001, she was determined to recover from a serious operation and learn everything she could to overcome this disease.

Robin relied on the services of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's local chapter in Needham, MA and looked for a way to give back.  She registered for the Foundation's annual walk at the end of September 2001 with a determination to not only complete the walk, but to raise money necessary for research and treatment to help other people.  Unfortunately, Robin was taken from us on September 11th before she could complete her dream.

The Robin Kaplan Memorial Golf Tournament began in 2004 in her honor.  In an effort to keep Robin's memory alive and fulfill her wish to help children battling Crohn's Disease and Colitis, proceeds from this event will be donated to the CCFA Camps Across America and Kids programs.

Robin grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts and graduated from Worcester State College in 1990.  She was an employee at TJX for over 8 years before her tragic passing on September 11, 2001.  Robin will always be remembered for the difference she made in all of our lives and we will always love her.
